Cailin Dyke – Director of Education (Dance, Competition Teams, Musical Theatre)
Cailin graduated magna cum laude from Bridgewater State University with a double major in Theatre Education and Dance Education. Her work on BSU’s production of The Pirates of Penzance earned her an Outstanding Choreography Award from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Cailin also served as choreographer for the NECT Moss Hart Memorial Award-winning production of The Taming of the Shrew. In 2013 Cailin received the Judith Glynn Memorial Award for her dedication to the arts.
Christine Kasparian – Voice, Piano, Music & Me, Musical Theatre, Competition Teams
Christine has been entertaining and educating in the performing arts for the past 15 years – from Maine to California! After graduating from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelor of the Arts, she opened up LiveLoveMusic Performing Arts Studios servicing the Greater Boston area by providing state-of-the-art one-on-one private voice, piano, and acting lessons. Christine also co-owns and directs Camp Meraki, a non-competitive performing arts summer camp for kids from 8-17 offering outstanding classes in film, theatre, singing, acting, dance, writing, and a variety of other creative disciplines. As a performer, instructor, administrator, and advocate for the arts, she understands the importance and need for a vibrant performing arts community. Christine is ecstatic to join the team at Bay Colony Performing Arts Academy!
Derrick Lacasse – Private Voice & Piano, Musical Theatre
Derrick recently moved to Boston from Maine to pursue a Master’s degree in Music Therapy from Lesley University. He spent the last two years teaching grades K-8 general music, band, and chorus at Saint Dominic Academy in Auburn, Maine. He also owned a private voice studio with students ranging in age from eight to adult. His students have been accepted into programs like; Syracuse University (Music Education); University of Southern Maine (Music Education); Maine All-State (Chorus, Jazz Choir); Maine District 2 (Band, Chorus); Ithaca University (Summer Music Intensive). Derrick recently received an honor in Education from The Chamber of Commerce: Young Professionals of Lewiston Auburn 40 Under 40. Derrick graduated from the Crane School of Music at the State University of New York in Potsdam, NY in 2014 with a degree in Music Education and a concentration in voice and music in special education. He has performed in many different venues including Avery Fisher Hall and The Duplex in NYC. During his undergrad, Derrick was the Music Director for the award winning accapella group, The Potsdam Pointercounts.
Kelly McGowan – Acting, Musical Theatre, Puppetry
Kelly McGowan recently graduated cumme laude from Salem State University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre with a minor in secondary education. She was also a member of the Commonwealth Honors Program for which she completed her senior thesis on puppet theatre. Outside of SSU productions Kelly has also acted with Imbroglio Theatre Company in Salem, MA. Kelly has worked for BCPAA’s summer camps for the past three years as both a K-2 instructor and an assistant director/choreographer, so she is thrilled to get stared with all of her classes here.
Colin Sullivan – Voice & Piano, Competition Team, Musical Theatre, Voice Ensemble
Colin studied voice and acting at both the University of Southern California and Bridgewater State University where he graduated with a B.A. in Theatre Education. He is a classically trained singer and has been involved with independent study and operatic roles for ten years. Colin has studied and performed in Viterbo, Italy as part of the Tuschia Opera Festival and has participated in various master classes, including Acting for the Singer with renowned actor Michael York.
